For tokens on the XDC network that are not listed on our DEX, our DEX aggregator is capable of routing orders across different DEXes where the token has liquidity, and presents the user with the best available rate.

Liquidity simply means money that enables users to execute trades and swaps on Decentralized exchanges (eg. IceCreamSwap Dex), the more liquidity there is, the faster and more swift a marketplace becomes. Different Dexes have their own liquidity pools for tokens listed on them, The IceCreamSwap aggregator automatically routes across these pools to ensure that users get the best available price.

The Dex Aggregator Mechanism:

The DEX Aggregator will instantly search all of these DEXes to find the best liquidity pool for the input token and execute the user’s swap order at the best available price.

Dex Aggregator Schematics:

- Let’s say User A wants to make a swap trade on the XDC network and inputs the token address of a token that is not listed on the IceCreamSwap DEX. However, the token has liquidity on another DEX.

- The IceCreamSwap DEX Aggregator instantly searches and routes orders across the various liquidity pools for the input token on different DEXes, and selects the pool with the best price.

- At the end of the trade, User A gets the best buying/selling price for the input token although the token isn’t listed and doesn’t have liquidity on IceCreamSwap Dex.

Note: When the IceCreamSwap DEX Aggregator executes a trade, the transaction is registered on the DEX whose liquidity was used. This means that if the liquidity pool on DEX D offers the best price for the user, DEX D will be used and the transaction will be recorded on its blockchain. Therefore, IceCreamSwap DEX Aggregator actually helps other DEXes to make trades by fostering unity and integration among DEXes on the XDC network.
