What is a LaunchPad?
Launchpad is a platform that serves as an incubator for new projects. It helps in the introduction of new projects to the community and also serves as a means of raising funds through the initial contributions by early users/investors.
About IceCreamSwap LaunchPad:
The ICEPAD is one of the special innovative projects developed by the IceCreamSwap Team as part of its Usecase and utility. The ICEPAD will serve as a Fundraising startup for projects launching on Core Dao Network. The ICEPAD was designed with two keywords at heart “Transparency and Fund security”. New projects will undergo screening/verification process i.e Know Your Customer (KYC). This verification process will help to identify project founders/owners and will go a long way in preventing Rug-pulls and Fuds thereby ensuring that users/investors Funds are SAFU.
NB: token sales on IceCreamSwap launchpads is transparent as all transactions are recorded on Core Dao blockchain, therefore it’s easy to keep track of the distribution method for each token. It also encourages the even distribution of tokens among investors/users.
How Does the IceCreamSwap LaunchPad Work:
The IceCreamSwap LaunchPad utilizes a unique model for IDO (Initial Dex Offering ), which ensures even distribution of the tokens based on the projects tokenomics.
Softcap and Hardcap models were also incorporated into the LaunchPad system. Projects will first undergo proper KYC through the newly invented IceCreamSwap Team verification system “The Soulbound Verifier”. After the verification, projects partnership announcement will be made and the IDO date will be fixed. The IceCreamSwap team will ensure that only projects with utilities are listed on the ICEPAD.
Once token sale is live on the ICEPAD, users can participate by connecting their wallet, $ICE token will be the main token for IDO contribution.
When IDO is complete, tokens are distributed and claimable by wallet addresses that participated in the sale. The amount of tokens distributed can vary depending on the amount of ICE the user contributed during the IDO.
For instance:
A user contributes 100 $ICE during the IDO, at a presale price of 1 ICE for 10 XToken, the user is suppose to receive 1000 XToken after the sale.
To participate in the LaunchPad IDOs:
- Users/Investors will go to the IceCreamSwap Dex website (https://IceCreamSwap.com), change the network to CORE NETWORK and then connect wallet (MetaMask preferably).
- Users/Investors must ensure that they have ICE token for the launchpad contribution.
NB: There is a minimum and maximum amount of ICE a wallet can contribute, this is to prevent excessive contribution by a single wallet which can lead to Pump-and-Dump if the wallet decides to sell.
- Once the IDO is live, users/investors can now contribute their desired amount of ICE token by clicking the “Buy now” button and approving the Metamask pop-up.
- After a successful IDO, users/investors can claim their token by clicking the “CLAIM” Button and approving the metamask pop-Up, which will be sent directly to the wallet used for the IDO.

Some Q/A about the ICEPAD
When is an IDO said to be successful:
On IceCreamSwap LaunchPad, IDO is said to be successful once the SOFTCAP is reached (the minimum amount of token sales that must be met for a token to be tradable), if the SOFTCAP is not met after IDO, then the contributed ICE tokens will be RE-FUNDED in full to wallet address that participated.
When is an IDO said to have ended:
On ICEPAD, IDO is said to have ended once the stipulated duration for the token sales is reached.
Will the token sold during IDO be tradable on IceCreamSwap Dex:
Yes!!!, once the IDO is complete, the token can be traded on IceCreamSwap Dex, other features like farming and staking may follow suit.
Which token will serve as the contribution token:
$ICE token will serve as the contribution token, users/investors must ensure that they have ICE token for the launchpad contribution.
